What is love when trust is lost from the beginning?

Where would we go in the absence of trust?

How far would we persevere in the absence of trust?

The world around us managed to take away our trust!

Neither both of us are to blame.

The question of whether love was existent is invalid

How were we to love when the world was tearing us apart?

How were we to prosper when the walls around us had ears?

How were we to trust when the world spoke against us?

To fight for us I tried but it took all of the energy that I had.

Should I stand and put the blame on you?

No! I cannot!

Neither both of us are to blame.

Love is not an arena for competition!

Neither is it a round table for negotiation!

Love is a podium for reciprocal actions towards one another

Love is an act of trusting each other

In the presence of prejudice how was this achievable?

Even though I tried to communicate with you?

You already had conclusions in your mind

Is friendship to blame or the feelings a friend had for you?

Can I question the grounds on which I was a victim of someone’s hate?

I cannot hate on you and turn my back and blame you.

Love is given meaning by acts of two people.

Long after you are gone I still find it worthy to compose this last stanza.

Compose this last stanza that you may find meaning at the end of it.

Your love meant something to me more than you ever knew

The idea that you were never loved I still ask myself where you found it.

The most dangerous act in love is not to trust the person you love.

The worst scenario is to lack communication in a relationship.

I cared that this love would end because of our foolish actions

I cannot stand and point my finger on you and put that blame on you

Neither can you do the same and blame me instead.

Every relationship does have its ups and downs

Ours had ups and downs but bad advice made it even worse

I guess in the end it was all about the call of the universe

Till we meet again, still I won’t blame you for its fall.

The cold in my heart

Without your love I feel like I’m in a blizzard

The cold in my heart cannot be measured

Being alone without your love is one thing I feared

I wish the confusion in my head could be cleared

One thing I wanted was to just prove a point

Yet you took it the other way round and scored a point

Together I thought we were a strong joint

This is the cold that I feel in my heart

By day my heart is freezing

Who shall thaw a heart that is freezing?

Yet the world thinks it’s a joke and they start teasing

Not knowing that one thing in my life is missing

This is just but a strange feeling

One thing I believed in is without meaning

Like an iceberg I never saw it coming

Now I feel this cold in my heart.

My story is untold

And my world is now so cold

Wish my own hands I could fold

With you I treaded on the streets of gold

Firmly I held my head high and I was so bold

What shall I do in the midst of this cold?

Your heart covered and protected me from this cold

All I feel is the cold in my heart

Stony was the heart you carried at last

The love you had you lost so fast

All that we shared to you became a thing of the past

All I have is a burden I have to cast

I thought promises were never meant to be broken

But like crunchy biscuits ours were quickly broken

I thought through the stormy weather we could be unshaken

But through the cold weather we were broken.

Chivi embarks on income generating projects

Chivi embarks on income generating projects

Chivi Central constituency, ward 11 is embarking on income generating which include egg production and cattle rearing and the projects are aimed at catering for its unemployed population.

 Walter Nyambi who is the councilor for the ward said that the income generating projects are aimed at helping community members to earn a living, and help the under privileged people and the widows around the community and 50 women are meant to benefit from the egg production project.

“These projects are mainly targeting women and 50 women are currently scheduled to benefit from the egg production project and these women were carefully selected by our team and vetted to see whether they qualify to participate in the project.

The projects are now at an advanced stage with some of the structures are ready to accommodate the first batch of layers and also plans of rearing cattle for the benefit of the community are also at an advanced stage with fattening pans now in place.

“We are going to be keeping 2000 birds for a start but we are expecting the first batch of 1000 birds by next week” said Nyambi

Shylet Kubvoruno who is the Chairperson of the Chivi egg production said that this project is aimed at elevating women in their community.

“ these projects will help in elevating women in our community, personally when I was approached to be the chairperson of chivi egg production I told myself even if I have never led people anywhere I want to try it out it will come out well” said Kubvoruno.

The egg production project is aimed at providing eggs to the people of chivi district as a whole and some areas around Masvingo.

Nyambi said “we are targeting the local market and those locals with businesses are the ones we will sell the eggs to, we were promised by Pick n Pay in Masvingo that they will also buy our eggs.”

There are also other projects that are taking place in the area and these include an irrigation project taking place at Mangwana dam and the villagers are benefiting from this project as they get to sell their produce and earn a living.
